The current decade is experiencing major changes in the process of Teaching-Learning methods. Along with the age old Chalk and Talk pedagogy, we have landed in the era of E-Learning with a goal to involve more and more students in the teaching –learing process. Keeping in mind the involment of students in the Teaching –leaning process one cann’t ignore the importance of excursions and field trips being an important pedagogy of education.By definition as well as objectives, the excursions are different from field trips. But they have one thing in common… they both can instil various soft-skills such as Team Building, Leaderhip, Interpersonal skills etc. amongst students. As per UGC guidelines, it is mandatory for few departments to conduct either Educational and Industial Excursions and/or Field Trips in an academic year. But we at our Manavidyalaya always encourage other departments to involve themselves into various Educational and Industial Excursions and/or Field Trips.
