About the Department

Vivekananda Mission Mahavidyalaya started its auspicious journey in the year 1968. Within Arts stream, Bengali is one the oldest departments in our Mission Mahavidyalaya which offers Honours course. The three year Honours course was started from 1998-1999 academic year and the general course was started from academic year 2002-2003. From 2013-2014 academic year, the department started its post graduate curriculum.
