Use of ICT-Enabled Tools
Teachers use ICT-enabled tools for the effective teaching-learning process.
Today, it is essential for students to learn and master the latest technologies in order to be corporate ready. Moreover, during the pandemic of Covid-19, the increased usage of ICT tools marked a paradigm shift in the teaching learning process. Teachers are now blending technology with traditional modes of lecture delivery to enhance and optimize their skills leading to faster and better teaching environment.
The following tools are used by our college:
- ERP: The College has maintained an effective ERP platform where the teachers share lecture notes, previous years’ question papers and links of YouTube videos related to their respective syllabi. Students can log-in and access those at their convenience from anywhere.
- Google Classrooms and G-suite: The College has purchased G-Suite which has been very effective for taking online classes through Google Meet during the pandemic. The departments have also created Google classrooms for taking assignments and sharing lecture notes with the students.
- Smart Rooms, Computer Lab and Departmental Computers: The College has dedicated computer labs and smart rooms with overhead projectors. Each department has computers, printers with Wi-Fi access.
- Fully Automated Library: The Library of the college uses open–source software ‘KOHA’. Book search and cataloguing are done through OPAC. Access to digital resources is provided through N-List.
- Webinars and Webzines: Various departments have arranged webinars during the pandemic. Webzines were also published by some departments to inspire creativity among the students.
- Power-point Presentation: In support of online class lectures, the teachers used Power Point Presentations for dissemination of knowledge as well as to make learning interesting to the students.
